CHILDREN’S ILLUSTRATION

If I can get one children’s book completed and published, I would die a happy artist. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do, collaborate with an author to create a book for children. After two failed attempts, I’ve been reluctant to put myself out there again. But here goes…

I am primarily a fashion illustrator so I tend to get very detailed with clothing. I think kids today are into that a lot more than in the past so instead of toning it down (less detail, less work), I like to play it up. It requires more time but I think it’s worth it and will help children identify with the characters more.

Everything here is computer-based, created in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

I started this work about five years ago. I was very excited about working with the young author but she kept running out of money and I finally had to walk away.
