And did you know that HBO premiered on Nov. 8, 1972 using microwave towers? They’ve been keeping us warm and toasty with hit shows ever since. (Get it? Microwave…warm and toasty…hahaha.)
And then, of course, there’s HEATWAVE… and she’s in full strut.

Turbans are big once again. Everyone from June Ambrose to Sarah Jessica Parker are rocking the look. And isn’t it funny? I’m certain that fierce headwraps have been around since the very first bad hair day. But our brethren from across the big water, Africa, India and the Middle East, bring it with so much meaning and savoir faire. Who would think that a simple piece of fabric tied, wrapped and draped about the head, could speak such volumes?
It takes a certain something to carry off this much drama. I’d say the model in this piece has it in spades, wouldn’t you? Now, if they would just bring back shoulder pads…
