My friend BW is a prominent sound technician in the music industry. He stays put in Chicago now but back in the day, he toured all over the world with both Michael and Janet Jackson and many other big, BIG performers. He’s got lots and lots of stories.

One day back in 1987/88, BW called me to share tremendous news. He’d been tapped by PRINCE himself—who was then riding high off of SIGN O’ THE TIMES—to join the team of techs who would design and construct the recording studio of his newly erected PAISLEY PARK!

After I stopped screaming like the last groupie on the planet, I got to work and by the time BW left for Minneapolis, I’d created an original piece—a stylized illustration of Prince. I framed it and asked BW to please deliver my gift to him personally.

Upon his return to Chicago, BW assured me that he had indeed given my gift to The Purple One. Put it in his hands. And some weeks later, after another visit to Minneapolis (constructing the studio took several months and many trips), BW returned with incredible news. My gift was actually HANGING IN PAISLEY PARK STUDIOS!! My usual skepticism took a backseat this time and I floated on a cloud, purple of course, for months.

I often created several versions of my work back then, redrawing it over and over until it was perfect. 2. I will send you via email an invoice created specifically for your order.

3. Once you receive the email, you will log onto the PAYPAL website and follow the easy instructions to pay for your order with your credit card. Once your order is complete, your t-shirts will arrive in 7-14 days. How simple is that?
